When a fact changes, the record should show it.

How BizFacts receives, evaluates, and publishes corrections and data revisions.

Report an error

Send the page URL, the statement or figure in question, and the strongest available source to [email protected]. We review factual errors, broken source links, calculation mistakes, unclear definitions, and material omissions.

What happens next

We check the original source and any newer release, reproduce calculations from the published formula, and determine whether the claim is wrong, outdated, unclear, or still supported. Priority goes to errors that change the headline answer, ranking, practical guidance, or interpretation.

Correction notes

Substantive corrections include a visible note describing the prior value or statement, the replacement, the reason, and the date. Silent edits are reserved for grammar, formatting, and changes that do not alter meaning.

Routine updates

A scheduled data refresh is labeled as an update rather than a correction unless the prior page misrepresented the data available at the time.
